Getting to Chandigarh

By Airport

The city has daily domestic air connectivity with all major cities such as New Delhi, Lucknow, Jaipur, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, and Hyderabad. All major airlines have direct flights to Chandigarh. The Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport located in the Mohali district of Punjab connects to international destinations of Dubai, Bangkok, and Sharjah. Chandigarh has convenient and direct connectivity with other domestic and international airports. The Shri Guru Ram Das Jee International Airport, Amritsar, and Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi are the next nearest international airports.

Cabs and public transport are available outside the airport for further commuting within the city. The venue, Parade Ground Sector 17, is located at a distance of 20 km from the airport.

By Train

Located in Daria, between the outskirts of Chandigarh and Panchkula, Chandigarh Railway Station has an extensive rail network that connects the city beautifully to the major cities of India. Tickets at affordable prices and the required comfort can be bought in any corner of the country. Air-conditioned trains of Indian railways also connect Chandigarh to cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Indore, Jaipur, Lucknow, and Prayagraj. The nearest railway stations to Chandigarh are Kalka and Ambala.

Cabs and public transport are available outside the railway station for further commuting within the city. The venue, Parade Ground Sector 17, is located at a distance of 7 km from the railway station.

By Road

The union territory of Chandigarh is well served by an excellent network of roads. Public transport also proves to be an important link in reaching Chandigarh through roadways. There are air-conditioned and deluxe bus services from various states such as Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and New Delhi to reach Chandigarh. The city is connected with all major cities through the network of National Highways 21, 22, and 64 to name a few. Two major Inter-State Bus Terminus (ISBT) of Chandigarh are in Sector 17 and Sector 43. The ISBT at sector 17 is adjacent to the venue, Parade Ground, located at a distance of 38m.
